There are many ways to obtain your EMT Certifications through our EME Department at Palomar College.
For those of you hoping to go into the Emergency Medical Services field, your EMT Certification is your first step!
To obtain your EMT Certification, you are required to take both EME 100 and EME 106. However, for those of you who are Active Duty or Veterans, you can skip over the EME 100 course and go straight into the EME 106 course ONLY if you have met one of the following:
Combat Life Saver (CLS) Certification, TCCC, a Corpsman, or have prior EMT experience.
If you posses one of the above listed pre-requisites, you will also need to have a CPR/BLS Certification for Healthcare Providers. This certification can be obtained through the Naval Hospital or out in town at the American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
