Catalina Island

Join us!  March 25 – 28, 2018

Every spring break we offer an amazing field course to Catalina Island.  The course can be taken for 1 unit of credit as GEOG 195 or BIOL 195A. While on the island we learn about the geology, climate, terrestrial flora and fauna, and marine biology of the island while kayaking, hiking and snorkeling.  The course fee is $300 and includes boat transportation to and from the island from Los Angeles, 3 nights of accommodations in cabins, island transportation, and kayak rental.  Snorkel gear rental, transportation to/from Los Angeles, parking, and food is not included in the total.  To reserve a spot, pay the $300 to the Cashier’s office as early as January 2.  As soon as 22 students pay then the class is full.  Once you have your receipt from the Cashier, show it to either instructor of the course to receive a permission code.  For more information please contact me at cjain@palomar.edu, or you can contact my co-instructor, Beth Pearson, at bpearson@palomar.edu.
