It goes without saying that we were all hoping for a more traditional spring break; one that does not include worry or fear but instead the company of friends and family in places where community is celebrated. We really hope that everyone will get re-charged next week and be ready to continue the spring semester on March 30.
It has been incredible to experience the hard work and commitment of our faculty, staff and administrators as we prepare for this unique situation and begin teaching all of our classes and labs in a remote format. Students should monitor their Palomar.edu email frequently as this is the primary way instructors will reach out and provide details related to coursework.
We are continuing our commitment to the health and safety of our students, faculty, staff and administrators. In doing so, effective immediately, we will no longer provide face-to-face student services. In planning for this significant change, we have built processes that will enable us to continue to provide students with the support needed during the remainder of the semester.
Rest assured, student success remains our focus. In result, we have added a few new resources on the Palomar.edu homepage. These include a Quick Guide to Student Services and Student FAQs. For our faculty we have a new TeachAnywhere website that contain resources and FAQs for a myriad of topics.
We are looking forward to March 30 as we begin a new chapter in the history of Palomar College.
