Deadlines Extended for Excused Withdrawals and Pass/No Pass Grading

As we head into summer, we wanted to make sure we circled back on how COVID-19 may  have impacted students.  We are well aware that many challenges have been faced and some have been easier to overcome than others.  To this end, our faculty leaders have approved an extension of the previously established May 15 deadline for an Excused Withdrawal (EW) and Pass/No Pass requests to August 15 for spring 2020 classes.  You can find all of the details here.

In summary, students who wish to request an EW or change their letter grade to a Pass (P) or No Pass (NP), should check in with their  academic counselor to make certain it is the best decision for their situation.  In addition, if a student is receiving financial aid, it is important to understand if this decision will have an impact on their financial aid award(s).  Students can contact our financial aid team via email at finaid@palomar.edu.

After these two important points of follow up have occurred, students who have determined they would like to proceed with an EW or P/NP, must email admissions@palomar.edu using their Palomar student email, and include their Palomar ID number, course name and section code for the EW or P/NP.

Stay safe!  Stay well!
