August 24 Marks the Start of Fall Semester – What You Should Know

Where did the summer go?  Was there a summer?  These questions come to mind as we continue to adhere to the Governor’s Stay at Home Order and some times lose track of days, weeks and months.

The start of the fall semester is Monday, August 24, just days away.  It is important to note that with the exception of only a few face-to-face courses, the San Marcos Campus and the Education Centers in Rancho Bernardo, Fallbrook and Escondido are CLOSED.  As previously announced, face-to-face courses that are designed to educate and train first responders and emergency care workers will be held as per the information in the class schedule.  All other classes will be held online.

TEMPERATURE AND SYMPTOM SCREENING
Students enrolled in face-to-face courses and our faculty and staff who are onsite to teach and facilitate these courses, are required to be screened for a temperature and symptoms of COVID-19.  Screening stations are open in lot 1 and lot 12 at the main campus.  Students, faculty and staff entering the Escondido Education Center for scheduled onsite courses will be screened as well.

Please do not come to campus if you are feeling ill or suspect that you have been exposed to someone with COVID-19.  Students should inform their instructors and employees should inform their supervisor, if they are not feeling well.
