COVID-19 Grants

Fall 2021 application period will be available July 28th-October 30th or until funds are exhausted
Covid 19 relief grants are funded through a variety of Federal and State Covid 19 related resources. These relief grants are to assist eligible students with costs associated with attending college courses during remote operations and return to campus transitions. Whether you need help with books, enrollment fees, food and or other costs we encourage you to apply now! Awards will be prioritized for students with exceptional need, and funding will be allocated until exhausted.

COVID-19 Grant Eligibility

COVID-19 Grant criteria is listed below:
  • All students to include DACA, AB540, International & Non-Credit students
  • Enrolled in classes for Fall 2021
  • Apply by October 30th (or while funds are available)
  • Have an Official 2021/2022 FAFSA or CADA application on file
  • FAFSA/CADA application is not required for International Students
  • Complete the on-line application on your Student Center (MyPalomar account)
    • Award Amounts:
      • .5 to 5.5 units: $500
      • 6-11.5 units:  $1,000
      • 12+ units: $1,500
    • Non-Credit Only students $350
    • Book/Supply Grants $250 - the Palomar College Bookstore will notify students via their Palomar student email account when funds are available to use. The funds must be used at the Palomar College Bookstore.

 

 

The Palomar COVID-19 Grant online application is available on your MyPalomar page if you are enrolled in Fall 2021 classes & have filed the following:

- 2021-2022 FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid)

-2021-2022 CADA (California Dream Application)

-International Students may also apply - FAFSA/CADA application not required

The application lists the eligibility criteria.   You will also be asked to identify one or more COVID-19 expenses you have incurred due to COVID-19

COVID-19 Grant Amounts:

    • .5 to 5.5 units: $500
    • 6-11.5 units:  $1,000
    • 12+ units: $1,500
  • Non-Credit Only students $350
  • Book/Supply Grants $250 - the Palomar College Bookstore will notify students via their Palomar student email account when funds are available to use. The funds must be used at the Palomar College Bookstore.

The COVID-19 grant will be disbursed to you by check to the address listed in your MyPalomar account.  Please make sure your mailing address information is correct.
