Federal Work Study

Palomar College has received guidance from the Federal government and our Financial Aid professional organization (National Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators – NAFSAA) that we may continue to pay Federal Work-Study students under certain circumstance for students who are unable to perform their duties based on COVID-19 safety actions taken by the college. Federal Work-Study students who are advised to not report to work will be considered on-call to return to work should the need arise. Keep in mind Federal Work-Study students must continue to maintain continuous enrollment in at least half-time (6 units).

**Students who choose to not work or do not report when requested will not be eligible for this exemption. Further information and guidance will be given to both our Federal Work-Study students and their supervisors as it becomes available.**

Please continue to check our Caronavirus Covid-19 Webpage for the most up-to-date information.
