NCTD SPRINTER/BREEZE: Effective June 2018 Cost is $49 per month if you already have a Compass Card. If not there is an initial $2.00 fee to purchase a re-loadable Compass Card for a total of $51 the first month. Students who retain their Compass Cards and present them for reloading during the monthly renewal period, the rate is $49 per month in subsequent months.
Discounted NCTD SPRINTER/BREEZE monthly passes are sold to eligible Palomar College students at the Cashiers windows (Administrative Services Building, A2) on the main campus and at the Escondido Center Cashier.
The monthly Compass Card renewal period runs from the 20th day of each month until the 10th day of the following month (Example: June Passes which are valid from June 1st – June 30th are on sale from May 20th thru June 10th). The day the pass is purchased or renewed on has no impact on how long it will remain valid. For instance, if a pass is purchased or renewed on June 1st or June 9th the pass will only be good until June 30th.
A current Palomar College Student Activity Card is required at time of purchase. Cashiers may require additional identification or proof of enrollment.
Many BREEZE bus routes serve Palomar College in both San Marcos and Escondido. The main campus in San Marcos conveniently has a SPRINTER station located on the south side of Mission Road, just east of the Mission Road/N. Las Posas Road intersection.
Payment must be made by cash or money order only and are non-refundable (Note: money order must be made out to Palomar College).
NCTD reserves the right to check students’ eligibility as they board buses. Students may be required to show a current validated college identification card upon request.
Palomar College is not responsible for any lost, stolen, or damaged passes. Passes are only good on NCTD’s SPRINTER & BREEZE lines. It is important to note that discounted student passes/Compass Cards purchased through Palomar College are not valid on NCTD’s COASTER or any MTS route.
Notice: Per the terms of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between Palomar College and North County Transit District, ticket sales are restricted to Palomar College students only at this time.
