Mission

Our mission is to provide an engaging teaching and learning environment for students of diverse origins, experiences, needs, abilities, and goals. As a comprehensive community college, we support and encourage students who are pursuing transfer-readiness, general education, basic skills, career and technical training, aesthetic and cultural enrichment, and lifelong education.

We are committed to helping our students achieve the learning outcomes necessary to contribute as individuals and global citizens living responsibly, effectively, and creatively in an interdependent and ever-changing world.

Master Planning

Palomar College's master planning is shaped by the College's Vision, Mission, and Values and reflects the College's top priority of student success.

The Educational Master Plan (EMP) establishes long-range goals of the College and drives all other College plans. The Facilities Master Plan supports the EMP. Each is completed on a 12-year cycle with a comprehensive update in year six.

Three-year strategic plans, action plans, progress and summary reports, and supporting data.

Plan that promotes success of and provide support to students with disproportionate impact.

Annual reports to the Governing Board on student enrollments, demographics, achievement, etc.

 Goals for student access, retention, completion, and community engagement/fiscal stability.

Systematic identification and prioritization of the District's staffing needs over a six-year period.

Broad technology goals designed to support the District's strategic goals and sustain ongoing operations.
