New Library Materials Request Option

While our building shutdowns continue at Palomar, because of the improvement in reports of active cases for San Diego County we are able to now implement a new service- our Library Materials Request process.

Beginning Monday, November 9th Palomar students and staff will be able to request books or media available from our San Marcos circulating collection (not items from the SM Reserve or Reference collections). Due to the closures of the Escondido Center, the Rancho Bernardo Education Center, and the Fallbrook Education Center, materials from the Libraries at those locations are currently not available.

To request an item please fill out the following form and click ‘Submit’. Confirmation will be made by email within 5 business days of receipt of this form.  If you are having trouble completing this form please contact us for assistance via email at During the week  (Mon.-Thur. 10 am-8 pm) you can connect with us ‘live’ via the Library Zoom Room for help with the form or answers to questions about the service.)

Please check our catalog for availability of an item before you submit a request.

Materials Request Form

  • Please provide an email address you use regularly.
  • Please provide a phone number you use regularly
  • Type the title of the book or media item you want to borrow.
  • Select the format of the material you are requesting
  • From your catalog search type in the Call number for the item. e.g: E907 .C63 2017 or SM Media E468 .C58 2004
