Class Meeting on 1/27/20

The “Syllabus Agreement Form” located on the last page of the syllabus must be completed and returned to me no later than Wednesday February 12th.  Any student who does not turn in the form risks being dropped from the class.

Class Meeting on 2/3/20

Reading Quiz #1 was assigned in class today.  This is a CANVAS assignment to be completed no later than Sunday 2/9 @ 11:59pm.  Instructions for the assignment can be found here.

Class Meeting on 2/10/20

  • Reading Quiz #2 was assigned in class today.  This is a CANVAS assignment to be completed no later than Tuesday 2/18 @ 11:59pm.  Instructions for the assignment can be found here.
  • Concept Challenge #1 was assigned in class today.  This is a CANVAS assignment to be completed no later than Tuesday 2/18 @ 11:59pm.

Class Meeting on 2/19/20

  • Reading Quiz #3 was assigned in class today.  This is a CANVAS assignment to be completed no later than Tuesday 2/25 @ 11:59pm.  Instructions for the assignment can be found here.

  • In-Class Quiz #1 will be on Wednesday 2/26.  It will cover all material since the first day of class.  (including the material in the textbook, Concept Challenge #1, and the Moon Phases Homework).  Each student must bring a SCANTRON 882-E form with them to the quiz.  The quiz will take place the last 25 minutes of class.  There are no make-ups for quizzes (but your lowest quiz score will be dropped).

Class Meeting on 2/24/20

The Moon Phases Homework assignment was handed out in class today.  It is due at the beginning of class on Wednesday 2/26.  If you were not in class today, copies of the assignment are in the plastic bin outside of my office door.  Credit will not be given to anything turned in after the beginning of class.

Class Meeting on 2/26/20

Reading Quiz #4 was assigned in class today.  This is a CANVAS assignment to be completed no later than Tuesday 3/3 @ 11:59pm.  Instructions for the assignment can be found here.

Class Meeting on 3/9/20

Reading Quiz #5 was assigned in class today.  This is a CANVAS assignment to be completed no later than Sunday 3/15 @ 11:59pm.  Instructions for the assignment can be found here.

Class Meeting on 3/11/20

Exam #1 will occur on Wednesday 3/18.  It will take place the first hour of class and will cover all material covered in class so far (including all reading assignments, the homework assignment, and in-class quiz #1).  Each student must bring with them a SCANTRON 882-E form and a #2 pencil.  A study guide is available online.

Palomar College is CLOSED until Monday March 30th.  Starting on March 30th, the College will move to an ONLINE ONLY format.  Exam #1 is still taking place, but will occur the week of March 30th.  Details will be posted on CANVAS.  Be sure to check CANVAS often!
