CS 100 – Introduction to Chicano Studies

Gregorio Pantoja is an Alumnus of San Diego State University and has returned to educate at the Community College; “a place that changed his life” to give back, and serve the community. Professor Pantoja is the first Graduate from the San Diego State University Chicana & Chicano Studies department; where he produced his thesis: The Latina Other, and the Performance of Masculinities; which exams gender & transgender theory within the context of U.S. patriarchal frameworks. Professor Pantoja’s areas of interest is cultivating critical thought, via the interrogation of dominant historical narratives, as well as implementing best practices of mentorship in; and out of the classroom to produce higher outcomes of student success.​
