HWY 78 Math Fields Day is a new math competition for students from Palomar College, Miracosta College, Cal State San Marcos and North County high schools. Students will have the opportunity to show their math skills in a two-part undergraduate contest—one test will focus on precalculus and below, and the second will cover Calculus 1. Attendees may participate in one or both categories of written exams.
Early bird registration will include free lunch and a t-shirt to the first 100 students who register at http://hwy78math.eventbrite.com. There will also be prizes awarded to the top contestants in each category, as well as a free show at the Palomar College Planetarium following the competition.
