How To Apply

Please follow the steps below in order for your Promise application to be considered for review. Spaces are limited. Applications will be reviewed on a first-come, first-served basis pending program funds. It is important that you follow these next steps in order for your Promise application to be considered.

number 2 imageApply For Financial Aid
Complete the FAFSA or California Dream Act application, and include Palomar College School Code: 001260. You must have a valid application on file with the college for your FYE-Palomar Promise application to be considered.

number 3 image Set Up & Check Your Student Email
Activate your student email and download the Palomar College Mobile app. Check your email frequently for important updates. Financial Aid Office and FYE-Palomar Promise will only communicate with you via your Palomar student email account.

Visit MyPalomar (eServices) to submit your Palomar Promise application. Applications will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis pending availability of program funds.
As of July 1, students may complete the Promise application to be placed on the Promise waitlist for 2019-2020. If space permits, you  will be contacted prior to the fall semester.

number 5 imageComplete The New Student Orientation
Orientation is mandatory for new students. Visit to complete your orientation online or to sign up for an in-person orientation.

number 6 image Develop Your Educational Plan
Schedule a counseling appointment to develop your educational plan. Contact the TLC San Marcos at (760) 744-1150, ext. 3931 to schedule your one-on-one appointment with a counselor. You may also contact the Counseling Department at (760) 891-7511 to schedule an appointment.

number 7 imageRegister for Classes
Enroll in a minimum of 12 units on your priority registration date. Participate in Discover Palomar in June to receive assistance with registering for classes, and to familiarize yourself with campus programs and resources. The deadline to enroll in a minimum of    12 units for fall semester is Friday, July 12, 2019. Waitlisted classes do not count.
