Eligibility

To be eligible for 2020-2021 Palomar Promise, applicants must:
  • Be a first-time college student (units earned through dual/concurrent enrollment are exempt)
  • Be a California resident or from an eligible exempt group (i.e. AB 540 or military dependent)
  • Complete, submit and have on record with Palomar College the Official FAFSA or California Dream Act application; must include the Palomar College school code: 001260.
  • Complete the Palomar Promise application
  • Enroll full-time and maintain a 2.0 GPA
      • Students who have a disability which interferes with taking a full course load may be eligible for accommodations, including a waiver of the 12 unit requirement, through the Palomar College’s Disability Resource Center (DRC).

 

The Promise application for 2020-2021 is now open. Applications will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis dependent upon availability of funds.

 

The first review for Fall 2019 Promise confirmed students (Year 1 and Year 2) to enroll in 12 units, or units approved by DRC, for Spring 2020 is December 2, 2019. Waitlisted classes do not count. Final review will take place on January 31, 2020. Please check your Palomar student email for important updates.
