Eligibility

To be eligible for 2020-2021 Palomar Promise, applicants must:
  • Be a first-time college student (units earned through dual/concurrent enrollment are exempt)
  • Be a California resident or from an eligible exempt group (i.e. AB 540 or military dependent)
  • Complete, submit and have on record with Palomar College the Official FAFSA or California Dream Act application; must include the Palomar College school code: 001260.
  • Complete the Palomar Promise application
  • Enroll full-time and maintain a 2.0 GPA
      • Students who have a disability which interferes with taking a full course load may be eligible for accommodations, including a waiver of the 12 unit requirement, through the Palomar College’s Disability Resource Center (DRC).

 

Palomar College offers FREE online tutoring support for currently enrolled Palomar College students. Tutoring is offered in the areas of Canvas, Zoom, accounting, business, Computer Science and Information Technology (CSIT), English, ESL, math, science and STEM, Spanish, and statistics. Other subjects are also available via NetTutor.
