Raymond Elstad

raymond2Born on the very day that Bob Wills and the Texas Playboys recorded “Brain Cloudy Blues.” Photographer Raymond Elstad came into this world on a morning of a September 5th in the city of New York. He soon departed the Big Apple to be raised in the environs of the City of the Angels, Los Angeles, California. He delved into the mysteries of the artistic image at the Museum Art School, now known as The Pacific Northwest College of Art and the Oregon School of Arts and Crafts, both in Portland, Oregon.

In 1987 he set up his studio in Cardiff by the Sea, CA. As well as a studio photographer specializing in portraiture and fine art imagery, he is now in his 9th year teaching photography at Palomar College teaching Photo 120 and he says…TAKE MY CLASS !
