What is GTASP?
GTASP is a Guaranteed Transfer Admission and Support Program specialized for Palomar STEM students transferring to CSUSM in the following majors: Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Engineering – Software (ready for transfers Fall 2020), Math, and Physics.
Benefits of the GTASP
- Specialized guidance and assistance throughout the transfer process to CSUSM.
- The following fees will be waived: application fee to CSUSM and half of the transfer orientation fee.*
- Guaranteed admissions into your STEM major at CSUSM.

Requirements to be part of GTASP
- Become a Rising STEM Scholar
- Complete a Comprehensive Education Plan with a Palomar College STEM counselor.
- Meet with the CSUSM STEM Recruiter/Career Advisor.
- Attend 3 STEM seminars/skillshops at Palomar or CSUSM by March before transferring to CSUSM fall.
How do I get started?
- Make an appointment with a Palomar College STEM counselor as soon as possible and prior to November 30 before transferring to CSUSM for the following fall to begin the GTASP application process.
- Meet with the CSUSM STEM Recruiter/Career Advisor to complete the GTASP application and review the Office of Training, Research and Education in the Sciences (OTRES) program eligibility at CSUSM.
