Food Justice (Free Food) Events

Food Justice

Team OSA (Office of Student Affairs) is thrilled to partner with the North County Food Bank to provide free food to our students in need. We also work to focus on eliminating food waste by hosting #PalomarEatsNow food justice events throughout the Fall and Spring semesters to offer out FREE snacks and provide a space for students to connect with one another, learn about campus resources, and build community. Thanks to our Community Partner, TERi Inc, volunteers pick up donated goods from a local Starbucks, and provide them to the Office of Student Affairs to distribute to students for free! At these Food Justice events you may find FREE snacks from Starbucks, FREE produce including apples, pears, oranges, plums and more, as well as FREE bread, lively music and helpful volunteers!

TEAM OSA + Campus Partners

The Office of Student Affairs hosts weekly Food Justice events at the SEAL Center, along with our fabulous Campus Partners who help serve food and provide students with information about their resources. At our weekly (free food) Food Justice events, you will find fresh produce, donated Starbucks pastries, lively music, and friendly staff and volunteers.

Campus Partners, such as the Palomar College Police Department, Library, Child Development Center, Career Center, Counseling, and more join us during these events to connect with students and link them up to resources. If you are a Palomar College staff member and would like your department to serve as a campus partner, please contact Malik Spence (mspence@palomar.edu).
