Veteran Student Scholarships

  • Edith Nourse Rogers STEM Scholarship
  • NAVPA ScholarshipPurpose: For distribution through NAVPA to Veteran Program Managers Do you know a student veteran majoring in accounting or business and interested in pursuing CPA license? If so, please help us spread the word about the AICPA Legacy Scholarships.This year the AICPA will award over $600,000 to more than 100 undergraduate and graduate accounting and business students through the AICPA Legacy Scholarships program. Your students could receive a scholarship for up to $10,000! We would love to see more student veterans as recipients in 2020.There are a variety of scholarship awards for students transferring into 4-year universities, minority students, women and those with non-accounting undergraduate degrees. This year there will be a new scholarship award – The AICPA Foundation Scholarship for Future CPAs – open to all students regardless of gender, ethnicity or education path. Interested students who are not yet AICPA Student Affiliate members can join for free prior to starting their scholarship application.

    Please have your students apply online at by March 1, 2020.

  • 2020 – 2021 Scholarship Program
  • California College Promise Grant (previously known as the Board of Governors Waiver -BOGW) – CCPG is a state-sponsored program which covers tuition for qualifying students. Health fees, Student Center Fees, Student Representative Fees, and course fees are not waived under California College Promise Grant. Apply online via the FAFSA application link above or by using the “Apply for California Promise Grant” link on your eServices Student Center page.   Eligibility determination may take up to five (5) business days.  Please note: you may be required to provide a benefit or income documentation.  Follow the instructions very carefully.  For additional information regarding BOGW, visit our Financial Aid website.

AB 705 requires community college districts to maximize the probability that a student will enter and complete transfer-level coursework in Math and English within a one-year time frame by utilizing assessment measures that include High School performance to achieve this goal.
