Introduction to Self-Care

Three day workshop: October 20, 2018, October 27, 2018 and November 3, 2018   

Self-care activities and practices we engage in on a regular basis to reduce stress and enhance our well-being. Self-care refers to activities and practices that we can engage in on a regular basis to reduce stress and maintain and enhance our short- and longer-term health and well-being. Self-care is necessary for your effectiveness and success in honoring your professional and personal commitments. Self-care is not simply about limiting or addressing professional stressors. It is also about enhancing your overall well-being. During this three part workshop, you will learn the foundations and applications of self-care.

Participants will also learn the importance of:

  • Managing and reducing stress.
  • Honoring emotional and spiritual needs.
  • Fostering and sustaining relationships.
  • Achieving an equilibrium across one’s personal, school, and work lives and more.

Everyone can benefit from self-care techniques to include in-home care providers, students, professionals (especially in high stress professions,) etc.
