Links to some helpful websites on fallacies:

Fallacy Files - A WebLog maintained by Gary N. Curtis. Fallacies are accessible both alphabetically and by categories. In addition, there are in-depth discussions and other features. Especially good treatment of the classical formal fallacies. Provides some historical context for the fallacies listed, and cites sources indicating earlier treatments of the fallacies. Highly recommended.

Wikipedia - List of Logical Fallacies - An extensive compendium of fallacies, with very brief descriptions. Think of this as the index for other Wikipedia entries on individual fallacy names.

Master List of Logical Fallacies - Maintained by Owen Williamson. A long list (146 entries) including many fallacies not on my list, organized alphabetically, with no attempt at classification. It does not distinguish fallacies from rhetorical ploys. It also does not include citations or histories. Rather, it is an attempt to identify fallacies "as they are used in today's discourse," so his terminology is often more up-to-date than mine.
