Travois

Although this photo is blurry you can see two women on horses moving their camp with the aide of their travois.  The poles of the travois were most likely used as tepee poles when not on the move.  The woman following has a baby on a cradleboard suspended from her back.  It has been said that a Comanche woman could strike camp and be ready to move in five minutes when forced to do so.
