Daily Assignment

Monday, April 13

We will meet in room MB-11  at 1:00 p.m.

This is week 12 of the semester.  I should have received your weekly e-mail update for week 11 by today.

Bring with you to class today:

Your working draft (WD) of essay 3.  Review the format and requirements for working draftsBring two (2) paper copies to class and upload it directly to the Pluto server at Palomar by ftp.  See the FTP Instructions for how to do this.  If you have any problems with ftp, let me know about them and get them resolved before this working draft is due.

Remember: The working draft is a step in the process of developing a finished essay. You have not failed in any way if your working draft is deeply flawed as an essay. You have failed completely if you don’t submit a working draft by the time it is due. It is an essential step in the process of developing an essay. Skipping that step is not an option. The working draft is required work. So remember: It doesn’t have to be "good," but it does have to be here, in the readers’ hands and on-line, when due.  The minimum length that will be accepted as a working draft is 1,000 words.

Note: We will not have a regular class meeting on Wednesday.  Instead, work on your essays.  Your revised essay will be due next Monday, April 20.

Reminder.  You should have completed the following writing by today:

Your working draft (WD) of essay 3.
