Week 1 Assignment

1.     Attend a lab orientation meeting and pick up a schedule of open lab hours in N-4.  Be sure to bring your PIC card.

  Week 2 Assignment: ASL 206L

1.     Send an email to mbsmith@palomar.edu that explains what you hope to get from this lab course.  Be as specific as you can.  Tell me what your background is in ASL, including what books you used and how well you feel you know the content of those books.  What ASL books will you be using in your class this semester?

Look through the list of videotapes available in the lab.  Name five of the videos that seem most interesting to you and explain why.

2.  Choose one of the videos to work with today.  You may choose any videotape that you want.  Type a one paragraph review of your selected video.  What did you learn?  What did you find most interesting?  Most confusing?  If you get stuck, remember that the lab assistants are available to help you.
