Palomar Football players take player of the week honors

Comet football players Damon Nolan and Junior Tau were both selected as Southern Conference players of the week after their performances in Palomar’s 33-6 victory against Mesa College last Saturday. Nolan won in the All-Purpose player category after registering 272 total yards. Catching, running, and returning punts, the sophomore from Murrieta Valley versatile effort helped the Comets easily dispatch the Olympians. Tau received player of the week honors after having nine tackles, three for loss and one sack. Palomar now has a 2-1 record this season and will play hosts to Saddleback College this Saturday at 6 p.m.
